Day 1 – Castles, Gastronomy & Medieval Heritage

9:00 A.M. – Departure from Bordeaux

Leave Bordeaux behind and journey into the heart of the Dordogne Valley, one of France's most enchanting regions, renowned for its spectacular landscapes, medieval villages, and rich history.

11:00 A.M. – Richard the Lionheart's Castle

Visit one of the most impressive medieval fortresses in France, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Dordogne River. Built in the 12th century and associated with Richard the Lionheart, this remarkable castle offers breathtaking views over the valley and neighboring villages.

Its spectacular setting has attracted numerous filmmakers, serving as a backdrop for productions such as The Last Duel, The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, and Revenge of the Musketeers.

12:30 P.M. – Farm-to-Table Gastronomic Experience

Enjoy a guided visit to a traditional foie gras farm and discover the culinary traditions of the Périgord. A gourmet lunch featuring regional specialties will be served on-site.

3:30 P.M. – Exclusive Prehistoric Cave Visit

Step back more than 15,000 years into the past during a visit to one of the very few original prehistoric caves still open to the public. Admire authentic prehistoric paintings and engravings preserved under strict conservation measures and accessible only to a limited number of visitors each day.

5:30 P.M. – The Most Beautiful Gardens of the Dordogne

6:30 P.M. – Walking Tour of Sarlat-la-Canéda
